Juneau County Custody and Records
For a county booking record, start with the Juneau County Sheriff’s Office Records Unit. The Justice Center is at 200 Oak Street, Room 1110, Mauston, WI 53948. Records staff are listed at 608-847-9414, fax 608-847-9401, and sheriffclerical@juneaucountywi.gov, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The online Release of Records Form is the documented route for Incident/Arrest and Jail Records requests. For present jail custody, contact the Juneau County Jail at 608-847-9419. The Sheriff’s Office main line is 608-847-5649.
Use the office that holds the particular record. A jail status, court docket, state-prison location, and federal or immigration custody inquiry are separate systems.
- For a booking photo, incident report, or jail record, use the county request and lookup route and submit a specific request to the Records Unit.
- For custody status or notification, use the sheriff’s jail contact or VINELink Wisconsin; neither is a booking-photo gallery.
- For an active-warrant question, call the Sheriff’s Office or Juneau County Clerk of Court at 608-847-9356. A public case search is not a complete warrant confirmation.
- For a court filing or disposition, use the Wisconsin Court System case-search page and verify the county and docket.
- For a person sentenced to state prison, use the Wisconsin DOC Inmate and Offender Search, which does not cover ordinary county-jail custody.
- For federal or immigration custody, use the BOP locator or ICE ODLS; their results represent separate custody systems.
